    <mods:abstract>The events data were originally compiled and hosted on a Web site by the Canadian Women Writing and Reading from 1950 project (CanWWR), which began in 2007. The awards data were extracted from a MySQL database as a CSV file, and then transformed into TEI files using custom PHP code in September 2016.</mods:abstract>
